Welcome to Faith Mountain Farm Kid's Page

Faith Mountain Farm is located in Floyd County in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains where you will find The Music Trail, The Artesian Trail, potters and delicious organic foods!
We get the goat milk for our products from our sweet goats and make all of our goat milk soaps and goat milk lotions right here on our farm. On this page we hope to allow you to meet some of our animals and see how well they blend in with our family, also to keep you updated on what is happening during our hectic schedules. One of our soaps you should try is our Doggie Bubbles goat milk soap on your puppers. It is especially formulated to leave their skin healthy and their hair soft. No burning with this goat milk product! We even use it on the goats!
Check back on this page and get a chuckle with pictures and stories of our animals. Lukey and Moo Moo are taking a break from looking for mice on our farm truck. They love hanging out together.
Wow Wow is a sweet kitty. He came to our farm to replace our sweet 17 year old Monk who died and became part of our landscaping with his burial, we even put a metal kitty in the ground where he rested...sure miss him Well, Wow Wow loves it here, but always wants to know where Moo Moo is. Those two can get into some fierce yelling spells He likes to be in the house during the day, picking lush places to sleep and go out at night. He likes his bowl of food kept full and when it isn't he talks to you until you fill it. I love his brown nose and glad he came to live with us
We really needed rain and boy, did it ever pour today!! Chickens ran for cover and the goats headed for the barn. It must have rained for about an hour and when it finished they all came out of hiding...goats wanting to be out of the barn and the chickens getting the water off of their wings. Sure did bring the temperature down! YEA! We are all happy
When I am making goat milk soaps and goat milk lotions Peek a Boo isn't interested in being with me (all other times she is under my feet or laying right beside where I am sitting.)
When I'm making products she loves to steal Pepsi's (our little pupper's) bed:] At first she keeps an eye out for Pepsi and then finally lays down and rests till I finally make her get out of Pepsi's bed and find another place to sleep!! Little stinker...Pepsi just looks at me like, "get her out of my bed NOW"!
Nellie has a new look...take a look at her fur, or what is left of it. Bill has trimmed her coat at least four times till he got it this short. Nellie wasn't sure that she liked it, but Max thought she was a "knock-out"! The fur on her tummy is like wool and it took a long time to get through it. Well Nellie, at least you are done until next year:]
OK...something strange is going on at Faith Mountain Farm. We came home the other day and Nellie came running to greet us with pink feet. We have no idea how it happened Bill checked them to make sure they weren't bleeding and when he found out that they weren't he started checking all over the farm for something pink that she could have gotten into. We haven't found anything yet...we'll let you know if we do. That Nellie girl gets into some crazy things:] So...do you like them better pink or green?
Does is seem strange that Nellie has green feet? Well....we have had loads of rain....some with loud zaps and crashes and Nellie hates storms, so she tries to get as close to Bill as she can thinking that it will protect her! As you all know staying close to someone isn't going to help at all, but she sure doesn't know that. Nellie firmly believes that either being right next to Bill or in the bathroom with the door closed is the only safe place to be! So..........here is what caused the green feet:)
She is following the tractor while Bill mows the grass and there is a feeling of rain in the air. What a dog...we sure love you Nellie:)
As you can see we do more than make our goat milk soap and goat milk lotion here at Faith Mountain Farm!
Meet Sassy our donkey! She was so funny watching the parade of covered wagons pulled by horses on Saturday. She made sure that the goats stayed near the barn...just to make sure that they were safe, but kept her eyes on the horses and wagons the whole time (probably wishing she was out there with them):) Sassy is the best kind of guard animal ever and we love her dearly!
A sweet welcome to Bella and Taffy born March 26, 2010. Mocha had these does without any problem! Taffy the brown one was born first and Bella came soon after. Two little girls for Faith Mountain Farm!
The goats have a brand new fence built by Beaver Creek Fencing!! No
more wandering off for these gals:) Tracy and Holly worked so well
together and had our fence up in record time! The fence is sturdy and
looks like it will out last us for sure and is a great addition to our
farm. Thanks Tracy and Holly for all of the expertise you have in fence
building. We are happy to recommend Beaver Creek Fencing to anyone
interested in having any type of fence built.
